# About OTOY Studio

OTOY Studio (formerly OTOY Canvas) is a production layer for creative teams working with generative models. It exists because new models were being released faster than the tools for using them in real work. Demos and experiments were easy. Reliable, reviewable and reusable production pipelines were not.

OTOY has worked at the intersection of rendering and AI for years. It makes OctaneRender, the GPU path-traced renderer, and created the Render Network. Studio is where those rendering tools meet the current generation of AI models.
