# What are the best Luma AI alternatives?

Luma has changed a lot in 2026. The Dream Machine page now redirects to Luma Agents, a creative agent with no free plan on the pricing page, and its 3D capture and Interactive Scenes pages are gone from the web. If you came to Luma for video, OTOY Studio, Runway and Kling are the closest swaps, and OTOY Studio still runs Luma's Ray models. If you came for 3D capture and Gaussian splats, OTOY Studio makes splats from photos or video in the browser, and Polycam, KIRI Engine and Postshot handle capture.

## For 3D capture and Gaussian splats

Luma's iOS app, Luma 3D Capture, is still listed in the App Store and says you can still export your content, but capture is no longer part of Luma's web product or pricing. Options:

- **[OTOY Studio](https://otoy.studio):** upload photos or a video and train a Gaussian splat in the browser, no GPU needed. It also makes a splat from a single photo, and an explorable world with World Labs Marble. Splats export as PLY. See [how to make a Gaussian splat](https://otoy.studio/answers/how-to-make-a-gaussian-splat).
- **Polycam:** phone capture with LiDAR and floor plans, from $30/month or $150/year.
- **KIRI Engine:** phone and web scanning with splat-to-mesh, from $17.99/month or $79.99/year.
- **Jawset Postshot:** desktop splat training on Windows with an NVIDIA GPU, from €17/month billed yearly. See [Postshot alternatives](https://otoy.studio/answers/postshot-alternatives).

## What you give up by leaving Luma

- **Ray3.2's newest editing modes,** such as relighting and motion transfer, on Luma's own app. OTOY Studio has Ray 3.2 video-to-video for restyling, not the full set.
- **Uni-1.1,** Luma's image model with brand-reference reasoning.
- **The agent,** which makes many deliverable formats in one go and connects to Figma and Frame.io.

## Moving your work

Download the generations you want to keep from Luma before changing plans. Deleted generations cannot be recovered. Then drag the files onto an OTOY Studio canvas, where they work as inputs for any model.
