# OTOY Studio v3.59.0 changelog

Published October 14, 2026.

This release introduces a new timeline widget for video editing, a built-in lighting sphere generator, and server-owned large iterator runs that complete even when you close the project.

## Timeline widget for H3 Max Insert Video

The H3 Max Insert Video node now features an interactive timeline for setting the Start and Resume points. Instead of typing numbers into fields, you can drag markers on a seek strip that plays the connected source video. The shaded area between the markers shows the footage that will be replaced. The video player allows you to scrub and play the clip to precisely check your cuts. Underlying number fields remain for direct input, and the node validates that the Resume time does not exceed the source video's length.

## Lighting Sphere node

A new Lighting Sphere node is now available in the image tools category, designed to work with the H3 Max Relight node. It generates the reference lighting image directly within the app, eliminating the need for an external sphere render. You can configure up to two colored lights and an ambient fill, adjusting their color, position, intensity, and softness. The node provides a live preview and exports a 1024 × 1024 PNG. Connect its output to the Lighting Sphere input on the Relight node to use it.

## Server-owned large iterator runs

Large iterator runs (51 to 1,000 items) are now managed by the server, allowing them to complete even if you close the browser tab immediately after starting the run. You'll see the first group of jobs appear, and subsequent outputs will populate as they finish. The next time you open the project, any runs that completed while it was closed will be collected onto their nodes. You can stop a run after the current group, and deleting the node will also stop its associated run. This feature remains behind the "Allow large iterators" preference.

## Quality of life

- A getting-started demo video banner now appears on the empty Projects tab for new users.
- US users can now see prices displayed in USD as an estimate before purchase, while all charges remain in EUR.
