# How to generate a 3D model with separate parts

**How do I generate a 3D model that is already split into parts for rigging or editing?**

Use OmniPart. It generates a 3D object from an image already split into separate parts, such as the wheels, body and doors of a car, so you can rig, animate or edit each part without cutting up the mesh by hand.

## Models that do this

| Model | Maker | Pick it for | Takes | Credits per run |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [OmniPart](https://otoy.studio/models/omnipart) | OmniPart research team | Outputs the object split into parts | Prompt plus image | 18 (from €0.18) |

Credits are OTOY Studio's currency: 1 credit = €0.01. Prices are list prices before plan discounts (paid plans take 10% to 25% off every run). Every model is on every plan, including Free.

## How to do it in OTOY Studio

1. Upload or generate an image of the object on a plain background.
2. Add an OmniPart node, connect the image and run it.
3. Download the parts and rig or edit them in your 3D tool.
