# How to design a custom AI voice from a description

**How do I create a new AI voice from a text description?**

Use Eleven Voice Design. Describe the voice, such as "a warm, low male voice with a slight Scottish accent, speaking slowly", and it generates a new voice to match. To re-voice a recording you already have, use the ElevenLabs Voice Changer instead.
