v3.42.0

This release brings camera-motion editing to H3 Max Multi Angle, adds auto-capture to the Director console, expands Sharp controls, and introduces PSD file support.

H3 Max Multi Angle camera editor

A full-screen camera trajectory editor is now available for the H3 Max Multi Angle node. Instead of entering numeric values in a table, you can visually position the camera on a sphere around your subject and preview the motion path. The editor shows both azimuth and elevation axes to avoid ambiguity, and the timeline serves as your selection control—scrubbing to a keyframe makes it editable. Presets like orbit, push-in, and crane moves are available, with custom trajectories saved as part of your workflow.

Director console auto-capture

The Director console can now capture frames automatically from a live camera or screen share at regular intervals. Select “Auto-capture from camera” or “Auto-capture from screen” to keep the device active throughout your session, with each cut using a fresh frame that tracks real movement. The live preview appears in the monitor’s HUD, and the cadence controls work the same as tile repeat mode.

Sharp node gains advanced controls

The on-device Sharp node now includes gaussian budget, opacity cutoff, and focal length controls. Reduce the gaussian budget to output smaller PLY files by keeping only the most important splats, adjust the opacity cutoff to remove near-transparent gaussians, or change the focal length to control scene depth reconstruction. Existing workflows will use the new default opacity cutoff (0.10), producing more optimized outputs.

PSD file support

PSD files are now accepted as first-class image inputs across the application. When you upload a layered PSD, it’s automatically flattened to PNG for previews and model consumption while preserving the original layered file as a downloadable companion. You can access the original PSD through the “Download Original PSD” option on image nodes and assets.

Quality of life

  • The update available toast now includes a link to the changelog
  • Profile email addresses are now copyable
  • Media chips in the parameter panel now show file sizes alongside dimensions and duration
  • Element @-tagging improvements: arrow-key selection in the mention menu and notifications when model swaps drop attached elements
  • Director console enhancements: playlist tiles show prompts, transport bar clarifies replace/append modes, and history rail uses two-row layout for better readability
  • H3 Max camera controls now properly handle motion prompts and can end moves before the clip completes
