How to control the camera in AI video

How do I get a specific camera move in an AI video?

There are two ways. For orbits and moves around a subject from one image, use MiniMax H3 Max Camera Controls, which has preset moves and keyframes. For an exact camera path through a scene, set up the shot in 3D first: make a mesh or a Gaussian splat, animate the camera in the scene editor, render the move, and use that render as the input for a video model.

Models that do this

Model Maker Pick it for Takes Credits per run
H3 Max Camera Controls MiniMax Preset moves and keyframes from one image Prompt plus image 23 to 221 (from €0.23)
Kling 3.0 (First/Last Frame) Kuaishou Camera moves described in the prompt Prompt plus image 39 to 193 (from €0.39)
Veo 3.1 (Image to Video) Google Camera moves described in the prompt Prompt plus image 98 to 393 (from €0.98)

The lowest-cost option here is H3 Max Camera Controls, from 23 credits (€0.23) per run. Credits are OTOY Studio's currency: 1 credit = €0.01. Prices are list prices before plan discounts (paid plans take 10% to 25% off every run). Every model is on every plan, including Free.

How to do it in OTOY Studio

  1. For a move around a subject, add the H3 Max Camera Controls node, connect your image, and choose a preset or set keyframes.
  2. For a full camera path, generate a 3D asset or a splat, open it with "Build a scene around it", and animate the camera in the scene editor.
  3. Render the camera move to video.
  4. Use the render as the reference or first frame for a video model, and describe the final look in the prompt.
