How to make an AI video between a first and last frame

How do I make an AI video that starts on one image and ends on another?

Use a first/last frame model. You give it two images, and it generates the motion that gets from one to the other. This is the most reliable way to control where a shot ends, for transitions, product reveals and matching the next shot in an edit. Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1 and Kling O1 all have a first/last frame mode in OTOY Studio.

Models that do this

Model Maker Pick it for Takes Credits per run
Kling 3.0 (First/Last Frame) Kuaishou First frame, plus an optional last frame Prompt plus image 39 to 193 (from €0.39)
Veo 3.1 (First/Last Frame to Video) Google With native audio Prompt plus image 88 to 353 (from €0.88)
Kling O1 (First/Last Frame) Kuaishou The earlier Kling omni model Prompt plus image 103 to 206 (from €1.03)

The lowest-cost option here is Kling 3.0 (First/Last Frame), from 39 credits (€0.39) per run. Credits are OTOY Studio's currency: 1 credit = €0.01. Prices are list prices before plan discounts (paid plans take 10% to 25% off every run). Every model is on every plan, including Free.

How to do it in OTOY Studio

  1. Put both frames on the canvas. They should share the subject and roughly the same framing, or the model has to invent a big change.
  2. Add a first/last frame node and connect the start image and the end image to their inputs.
  3. Describe the motion between them in the prompt, for example "the camera pushes in as the box opens".
  4. Run it, then check the last frame against your end image before you cut it into the edit.

Tips

  • To make the end frame, edit the start frame with an image model ("same shot, the door is now open"). The two frames then match.
